About us

Sepia-toned historic photograph of three men in robes standing outside an ornate building with a large domed roof and decorative sculptures, with lush trees in the background.

NeedRome.net is a group of friends with a passion for advancing the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to do what we can to that end; whether that be writing and publishing articles, creating and aggregating resources, designing and selling Catholic apparel, editing and posting faith-based content to social media, or anything else we can do to contribute to this generation of social media in order to inspire people to faith, hope, and love in the One True God, Jesus Christ.

The Need for Rome.
Whether you are rich or poor, male or female, Greek or Latin; you need Rome. You need the Roman Church and Her Pontiff. You need Her doctrine. You need Her Sacraments. You need her Head and Master, Jesus Christ. You need Her Mother and Mistress, the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Rome is not just an ancient fallen empire that we look back to on occasion and wish to imitate. Rome is here and now, She is the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. Rome is the Eternal City of God, the New Jerusalem, She is the New Israel and the beloved Spouse of God. No matter who you are, Rome is your home, She is your inheritance for which Christ suffered and died that you may go to Her to die to yourself, and for which He rose again on the third day that you may live the divine life in Her bosom; and we wish to show you the way to Her, as far as we are able.

The Need for Mary.
Mary is not only the Mother of God, but she is the Mother of the Church, and in a mystical way she is the personification of the Church. In this way, Mary is Rome. At NeedRome.net we seek to fully embody this Marian spirituality inherent in Christianity, after the example of St. Maxamillian Kolbe. Thus, our motto is Ad Jesum per Mariam, or “To Jesus Through Mary”. This phrase encapsulates the core method of our apostolate: bring souls to the Son through the Mother. To the Resurrection through the Immaculate Conception. To Heaven through Our Lady of Rome.

The Need for Devotion.
We recognize the essential value of true devotion in the interior life of a Christian. Unfortunately, in our time, true devotion is something rarely seen, and usually so hidden that it remains unknown to most. For this reason, we strive to teach and encourage true devotion by instructing and promoting the principals of these devotions and by providing the most essential spiritual practices for Catholics in a fresh way by prioritizing usability, functionality, convenience, and design. These devotions are namely: The Rosary, Spiritual Reading, and Mental Prayer.
