DAILY VOCAL PRAYERS
OF THE FRATERNITY
THE FOLLOWING ARE THE NECESSARY DAILY PRAYERS OF THE FRATERNITY. IT IS MOST COMMENDABLE TO PRAY THESE IN LATIN IF POSSIBLE. WILLFUL PERSISTANT NEGLECT OF PRAYING THESE PRAYERS RESULTS IN IPSO FACTO REMOVAL FROM THE KNIGHTS OF MARY FRATERNITY
✠ Morning Offering
O my God, in union with the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer Thee the Precious Blood of Jesus from all the altars
throughout the world, joining with It the offering of my every thought, word, and action of this day.
I desire to gain every indulgence and merit I can, offering them, together with myself, to Mary Immaculate, whom Thou hast appointed the
dispenstrix of the merits of Thy Precious Blood,
**especially by means of this Scapular [Here kiss your Brown Scapular]**
that she may best apply them to the interests of
Thy Most Sacred Heart. Amen.
** Those who are not yet enrolled in the confraternity of the Brown Scapular may omit this portion
O Domina Mea
Indulgenced by Pius IX, August 5, 1851
Look upon an image of Mary (if possible) and say:
HAIL MARY.
O MY Queen! my Mother! I give thee all myself, and, to show my devotion to thee, I consecrate to thee this day my eyes, ears, mouth, heart, my entire self. Wherefore, O loving Mother, as I am thy own, keep me, defend me, as thy property and possession. Amen.
AVE MARIA.
O DOMINA mea! O Mater mea! Tibi me totum offero, atque ut me tibi probem devotum, consecro tibi hodie oculos meos, aures meas, os meum, cor meum, plane me totum. Quoniam ita que tuus sum, O bona Mater, serva me, defende me, ut rem ac possessionem tuam. Amen.
Prayer of Bl. Pius IX
O MY JESUS, cast upon us a look of mercy; turn Thy Face towards each of us, as Thou didst to Veronica; not that we may see It with our bodily eyes, for this we do not deserve, but turn It towards our hearts, so that, remembering Thee, we may ever draw from this fountain of strength the vigour necessary to sustain the combats of life. Amen.
Three Hail Marys Devotion
Indulgenced by Pius X, Br. December 5, 1904.
Pray three AVE MARIAS, and after each:
BY thy Immaculate Conception, O MARY, make my body pure, and my soul holy.
PER tuam Immaculatam Conceptionem, O MARIA, redde purum corpus meum et sanctam animam meam.
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
